We already got good advice on pubs, but solid food is also quite usefull BEFORE filling up with guinness or any other kind of alcoholic poison.

I might add that American style, TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesday and Hamborgarafabrikkan are very good more "fancy" burger joints.
If you want to shop cheap = b+¦nus (yellow with a pig as a mascot) groceries and such, there is one in kringlan and one on laugarvegur. there is a third somewhere in town.
Bars - +űlsmi+¦jan, its a more quiet, relaxed pub esque kinda place, good music most of the time and sometimes live music too. last i heard the polar beer was cheap there too.
10-11 is open 24/7 and is located in central reykjav+ˇk, its a tad more expensive than other grocery stores but good to know of if you were to run out of tobacco/need some midnight munchies. |
